Hostile intentions

Charles Darwin, who developed the theory of evolution by natural selection, connecting humans to their animal ancestors, loved dogs, whatever their frame of mind. This one he described as ‘Dog approaching another dog with hostile intentions’. You can read Darwin’s whole book for yourself online. The Emotions Lab team has produced a new audio drama called “Darwin Vexed”, starring one of the Darwin family’s dogs, which you can listen to here.  And you can listen on the BBC website to a radio episode about Darwin, animals, and friendship in the nineteenth century.
